I really liked this book. Would I read it again? No, I wouldn't, but I think it's a very enjoyable read that almost everyone is certain to like at least a little. At times it's dark and heavy, at times it's light and comical. I never knew the drama of being a kindy mom could be so exciting (and life-threatening). I think this book lets you piece together an event at your own pace, but has enough sub-plots to be engaging.I really liked this book. Would I read it again? The art in this book is AMAZING. The story is not.
I understand Chuck wants to kill off (the idea of) Tyler and that this book is apparently ruining his life, but this was not the way to do it. The weird meta pages and strange sub-plot with Marla was so horrible. This isn't worth suffering through, stop while you are ahead! The art in this book is AMAZING. The story is not.

Wow, what a let down. Truly. Talk about the most boring couple on EARTH, boohoo we were invited to a dinner party with the neighbors. Really that's the whole issue right from Chapter 1. Anne is beyond annoying, and I hardly feel bad her child was taken. Half this book is just her wailing about Cora and then reminding us she's depressed. Actually she's (comically) obsessed with her mental illness; really I just think the author assumes depressed people only think about their depression. Hint: that's not true!! We have other thoughts too.
Marco is a useless pile of dirt who blames his failing marriage on his wife's depression, which given how it's all she talks about I almost can't blame him, but it's clear he's been less than supportive of her through it all. Tip-toeing around and treating her like a fragile little baby animal. The portrayal of mental health in this book is abysmal if you haven't already gathered that. Between Anne's obsession with her own depression and Marco's conviction it's the problem of everything; it's clear the author has no clue about the subject matter.
The only mildly interesting character is vilified because she's "sexually deviant." Shocker. This book isn't full of twists, it's a spoon-feeding of events; all tell and no show. It's predictable and there's nothing to figure out on your own. And what a cliched ending.Wow, what a let down. Truly. I think the author has some projection issues since all the characters are essentially the same person. At times this book was compelling but it was not nearly as dark and edgy as I think she imagined while writing it.

I hated this book. It was a waste of time. A boring girl in an exciting world ruining good things because she's dumb and selfish isn't the way I'd like to spend 500 pages. There is no real plot, just us following along on Viv's self-indulgence.

I'm not sure I was the right audience for the book. I was hoping to feel moved and motivated by this work unfortunately it fell flat. However, Amber is an exceptional woman and I hope she continues to make art that serves her and her community.

His newest work Recursion is much better, but Crouch does put his best foot forward in this new style of sci-fi which appeals to a larger audience than the traditional genre.

This is a really great play about family relations, showing the true imperfections we try and hide from one another. There are some powerful scenes, and this play attempts to tackle the big issues. While it doesn't always hit the mark it is overall successful. This is a really great play about family relations, showing the true imperfections we try and hide from one another. This is a light hearted little romance with some fun moments and the classic trope of enemies-to-lovers. I lost interest at the very end, but up until the 'epiologue' I was excited to read it.

I thought this was a really exciting conspiracy story. I found myself trying to piece together the puzzle along with Jack. While the autopsy work wasn't my favorite, I didn't find the medical stuff got in the way of an enjoyable story.

I didn't expect this book to be so spooky and enticing but it was! Ruth has really outdone herself with this one, a lot better than In A Dark, Dark Wood! Rowan is such a real character and I loved the framing of her letter. Definitely a great read and a wonderful thriller.I didn't expect this book to be so spooky and enticing but it was!
