Allen's best: Annie Hall. Since then, it's a tumble downhill, as evidenced by this predictable, awful movie. How could I expect better from a narcissistic pedophile? I am returning to boycotting all of his movies. Even Annie Hall.

Magic in the Moonlight.
One evening, having nothing else to do and all evening to do it, I poured a large glass of merlot and sat down with 4 vpl dvd's.
Started with Magic in the Moonlight, keeping the option open to move on to one of…

checked it out for colin firth. disappointed it was a woody allen film. beyond his being a pedophile, he is no genius, despite his actors' touting him as such in the special features. his characters all sound like him, the ultimate…

Cute in every way. Knock once for yes. I had one laugh out loud moment thanks to Colin Firth who is excellent in the film. However, the soundtrack was annoying and I could have done without it. Otherwise, a very enjoyable film.

This is one great screenplay that is beautifully shot, with sumptuous sets and cinematography, a lush period soundtrack, unerringly cast, and compellingly acted. I like a story that goes somewhere worth going, makes you wonder how the web…

This movie was set in the 1920’s and is about a magician named Stanley Crawford (played by Colin Firth), who believes that magic is fake and a sham until he meets a medium named Sophie (played by Emma Stone). Upon meeting her, he begins to…

Colin Firth & Emma Stone portrayed characters well. I don't like Woody Allen... but I enjoyed this movie. In honesty, nice to view once... with the family.

In a word: twaddle. Very pretty to look at twaddle at times, but twaddle nonetheless. As someone else mentioned, the casting of Stone as Sophie seemed a misstep. For one thing, she's almost thirty years Firth's junior which may explain the…

It was an enjoyable film to watch. Loved the scenery and the cars of the period. Not a real strong story but certainly not weak.

While I love 1920s-themed books & movies, and Colin Firth and Emma Stone are 2 of my fave actors, I just didn't see any real chemistry between them. I enjoyed the movie though.

I used to enjoy Woody Allen's movies. Used to. The recent ones leave me wishing that Allen would fold, take his winnings, and go home. The role of witty Greek chorus which Allen used to play is now filled in by others less adept at his…

I really liked this movie, in spite of the fact that Emma Stone was dreadfully miscast. Beautifully shot and the soundtrack was super. Colin Firth was as usual great. Twisty ending; very enjoyable.

I enjoyed that movie so much! Sure, it is not the wittiest, but it is playful and funny. And the character played by Colin Firth is delightful, and his acting is perfect.
