Add a CommentIt is nice to see Sandry, Briar, Daja, and Tris together again even if they are not quite as bonded as they were before. Pierce's characters feel very real and the plot is exciting so that you want to know if Sandry can stay out of the clutches of the Empress and if the four of them will become bonded again.
Definitely one of my favorites of the series.
Another VERY good story cleverly woven by a Mage story-teller, Tamora Pierce.
I read this book, super good, it was cool to see how the four got back together. but there was some weird stuff in it, i'm not too bothered by most of my friends are. if you get easily creeped out, I would not get this book. However, if you're like me and are willing to have that stuff to get a good book, go right ahead!
The four from the earlier Winding Circle quartets reunite, a little older, wiser, and more independent. Can they still work together, and do they want to?
