Using an array of factors, Bowers can pinpoint clues to solve the toughest of cases. Bowers' skills have made him one of the FBI's top agents - until now. This was not a bad book but I couldn't help feeling like the author's style resembled painting by numbers. It was not bad, it just seemed like it lacked that "wow" factor

This was the first read of a new author for me. I enjoyed the book, stayed up way too late one night to finish it. I am going to get the next one "The Rook" and see if I like it as well. It is always good to find a new author to get immersed in. I found the methodology of the lead person, the investigator, Patrick Bowers, somewhat vague, but the action was good and I ended up liking all the main characters.

Steven James is one of the best mystery/suspense writers that I have read. I am thrilled that I found his line of mystery books.
