I really like Pressfield's other books and absolutely recommend them. This one starts well and gives one insight about war in the desert. Some of the mechanical details about the vehicles are off, and I can accept that, but the ending was so far-fetched as to be laughable, and that detracted from my enjoyment of the story.

Audiobooks IMO can be a excellent storytelling medium or an acceptable cure for insomnia.

"Killing Rommel" proves to be the former with its exploration of characters dealing with the harsh realities of desert recconoissance and combat.

Alfred Molinas effort is nothing short of fantastic and engaging.

Hightly reccomended to those interested in the Allies opposition to the Afika Corps in northern Africa.

I didn't expect much from this book, but it had me completely hooked within a few pages. Stick with it to the end, as it is worth it.
The audiobook is very well done, with the correct accents, too.
