If you like Woolf, then it's worth it. There's half a dozen stories here that are very fine

"Of all things, nothing is so strange as human intercourse, she thought, because of its changes, its extraordinary irrationality. . ."
Virginia Woolf only published one book of short stories in her life entitled "Monday or Thursday." This collection, published after her suicide in 1941, contains 6 of the 8 stories from that collection, including one of her most famous "Kew Gardens." Woolf's stories are less about plot and theme than "moments of being," to borrow the title of one of the stories. Her most famous character, Mrs. Dalloway, appears in a few of the pieces.
