I love this mini-series, so very much. The acting was really good. The writing deserves praise for having adapted such a huge novel for the screen, even for the small screen in ten part chunks. I re-watch this mini-series at least once a year. I highly recommend it, especially for people interested in Colorado history.

I watch this star-studded mini series every couple of years. I especially enjoy the footage of the Highlands Ranch mansion before there were any house built around it.

I remember watching this mini-series back in the 1970's, and didn't live in Colorado at the time but now I do! I've come full circle! This mini-series based on James Michener's novel is also a great history lesson for older kids regarding Colorado.
