Jumping for JoyDVD - 2003
The year is 1964 and tomboy Bobbie Dean clings to her dream of playing boys basketball--a very different game from the one girls are allowed to play. A gifted athlete, Bobbie practices the game she loves because she k nows the importance of sacrifice and hard work. Her practice pays off when she gets to live her dream--a chance to play on a boys basketball team. Meeting each new challenge with courage, Bobbie helps her team reach the championship game, only to be kicked out by a court order citing fears for her health. Undaunted, Coach Layden gives her the chance to lead her team from the sidelines. Without their star player on the floor, the team must pull together like never before. But will it be enough? Win or lose, Bobbie shows what it means to have the heart of a champion.
