A good, tense historical drama series. Sometimes violent as history is. It has too many or too long "fillers". Beautiful scenery.

Too much filler. Chase scenes & some of the other scenes were too long. Did not like that the played modern music in the series. Should have stuck to music of the 1800,s. Otherwise, the series was gripping.

Overall, I enjoyed the series. It took me a bit to get used to the modern music, but it is set so well against the action in the scenes that it definitely contributes to the show. The one thing that is missing is the absolute monotony the slaves must have felt doing the same tasks day in and day out with no conceivable end other than death.
