Bored house wife supposedly a writer does nothing in the house except seeks attention from this enthusiastic cook book writer husband. Wife's constant craving for attention hints the audience that she is thinking someone else. Her mind wonders about the man she has met in the airplane who happens to be her neighbour. The wife does not occupy herself with anything in the house. To me she started to become an annoyance to her husband. Does she have anything else to do? Nothing. She sits around or bugs her husband for attention while he works. Then she stars stalking this neighbour who appears to be available all the time (because he does not work either). Then any one can guess what happens next. Wife lefts the husband for this new interest. There is this horrible scene of three people in the bed. Now what? What is that supposed to mean? The movie ends with both lovers loose interest of each other. Get some some therapy, I would say to this lady. As one of the swimmers at the swimming pool she goes says: "New gets old too." This is the ignored message of the movie. Mostly predictable, somewhat boring movie about a housewife who seems to be innocent and resisting to her urges at first but became horrible at the end. I wonder why Sarah Polley has chosen this meaningless plot?
