Wouldn't It Be Deadly

An Eliza Doolittle and Henry Higgins Mystery

I've been a fan of the musical version of "Pygmalion" for over 45 years. This was a delightful, light read and very much in character with the personalities and their penchants for "dropping aitches" and searching for Higgins' slippers. All of the familiar characters put in an appearance including Pickering, Henry's mother, Freddy Einsford Hill, and of course, Eliza's father. The plot was fast moving and not until the last chapter did the truth and murderers become known. This included Eliza bursting on stage in the middle of a production of Hamlet and knowing all of the lines. Funny, uplighting and I can't wait for more.
