Binchy wrote a regular column in The Irish Times in addition to her best-selling fiction. This collection pulls together selected essays from 1964 through 2012 to give the reader of Maeve's thoughts and writings through the decades. Her truest advice for me is in the final postscript -- "When you are young, you have time and energy but you don't have any money. When you get a job, you have energy and money but you don't have time. And when you are older, you have time and you have money but you don't have enough energy. Nobody has all three together." Her comments on the British royal family through the decades are insightful and irreverent. A great book to read when you have a few minutes to spare.
