this documentary presents a devastating picture of the lack of protection for women under US law and law enforcement. The equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution does not protect against discrimination on the basis of gender or sexual orientation, according to Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. Corporations fare better than women in Supreme Court decisions. I knew that the Equal Rights Amendment did't get ratified but I had no idea of the total picture of the ramifications on the daily lives of women in the US.
