Passengers is a sci-fi movie about two passengers that are sleeping in a pod and wake up 90 years too early when their ship to the other world malfunctions. They are the only two awake and spend time together which eventually leads them to develop feelings for each other. Jim and Aurora have everything they could ever wish for in the ship and everything is provided, but they discover that the ship is in danger and they have to save 5,000 lives and they are the only ones to do that. I rate this movie 4 out of 5. @BirdieBooks of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library This drama/science-fiction film combines classic Hollywood stories with a typical forbidden romance. While flying through space, Aurora and Jim wake up decades too early and find themselves alone on the ship full of thousands of sleeping people. This leads to them falling in love (like any other time that a man and a woman are left alone according to movies) until they realize that the ship is in danger. I personally found the movie to be very dramatic which took away from what it could have been. I was disappointed in this film given the reputations that the leading actors Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt have, and found their performances to be unusually lackluster. I would rate this movie a generous 2.5/5 stars. @THe_Reviewer of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
