My 3rd independent book I decided to read was Gareth Hind’s graphic adaptation of “Beowulf”. The book brings to life popular stories told within Norse mythology of Beowulf’s adventures and battles against many feared monsters in his realm. He’s a brave and confident individual never looks defeated in the slimmest circumstances. I’d honestly rate the book a solid 6/10 to be quite honest. I had a problem with the book being so short when it could’ve easily been a lot they could’ve put in between the beginning and end. What i did like however was the book had been written in an older form of English language which kind of put me in the story as if I’m in that time period. I would definitely not recommend this book for higher level readers. The book is really for people ranging from 15-16 years old given its bloody and gory. The book is not really for any ages older really because the story just isn’t long enough to fully enjoy.
