Brilliant satire on vampire fiction & the romance industry convention in general. Vampires ,er, immortals can eat garlic, don't sleep in coffins & could go out in the day but they have to drink more blood to repair UV damage. Book editor sure surprised at supposed bookish gentleman paranormal romance author more like male model on romance cover. Nice touch on using Atlantis & nanobots that run on red blood cells to explain living immortality. Of course, hero was comfortable in period piece costume party since he lived through it while heroine felt silly. Loved the scene he binged on TV programs overnight thanks to unsuspecting male romance editor.
