Attack on the Front Lawn

There are pluses and minuses with this book. I loved the whole IDEA of the project, wish more people thought open-minded about their front yard (I mean sometimes the only sun-drenched part of your yard is in the front!), and appreciated the journaling aspect where I got an opportunity to read what the test site front lawn owners thought for the duration of the project. On the down side, I wish the planting plans were more detailed for people who might want to replicate things they liked in various test lawns portrayed in the book. Also, I sincerely wish this book and project hadn't been just a one-time thing. It strikes me as odd that this project wouldn't be continued with new test lawns and perhaps even a continued journal from the testers who chose to continue with their gardens. I would personally really appreciate reading annually about the "state of front lawn transformation" in the US and would honor this with space on my book shelf for a growing collection of these titles.
